Take a GBank Coffee Break with Mark McLemore

Mark McLemore joined Guaranty Bank's Service Center in the summer of 2020 before recently joining the digital banking team as a digital banking specialist. Get to know the retro gaming enthusiast a little more with our latest GBank Coffee Break video and Q&A.

Q: What's something we don't know but only your friends know about you?

A: I enjoy camping and boating. I also like retro video games, modding old video game systems and watching movies.

Q: What did you want to grow up to be when you were a child?

A: I wanted to be the next Billy Sims, running back for the Detroit Lions. However, another number 20 was drafted by the team the year I started high school - Barry Sanders.

Q: What accomplishment in life makes you the most proud?

A: I am proud of becoming a husband and father. They are the most rewarding part of my life by far!

Q: What was your first impression of your coworkers when you started at GBank?

A: Everyone I met was welcoming and accommodating! I was really impressed with that. The pandemic had really thrown things into turmoil and I had just moved to the area. It reinforced that I chose a great place to work.

Q: What engages you most about your role?

A: I really enjoy being a part of a team, knowing that we each play an important role in the success of our customers, the bank and our coworkers.
